Saturday, July 29
Harmony Lunch Re-Opening!
What is it? Harmony Lunch is one of the oldest and most recognizable restaurants in Waterloo, and after being bought by new owners, it’s coming back. To celebrate the occasion, they’ll have live music, giveaways, and a few surprises!
When does it start? 11am, but this event will be running all day
Where is it happening? Harmony Lunch in Uptown Waterloo
How much does it cost? $0 to get in, but food & drinks are extra $$$
Why should you go? The old Harmony Lunch burger was pretty famous, so if anything, it’s a chance to see if the new guys can keep that signature taste.
Serbian Food Festival
What is it? This food festival may be smaller than others in this area, but it is definitely up there with the best of em’! The event will include traditional mouth-watering cuisine, music, and live entertainment.
When does it start? 11am on both Saturday AND Sunday
Where is it happening? Trinity Hall on Fischer Hallman Road
How much does it cost? $0 to get in, but food/drinks cost extra $$$
Why should you go? There’s not many festivals for the rest of the summer, so it’s worth it to get in as many as you can! Plus the food looks like it’s going to SO awesome!
TWB Co-Op Fest!
What is it? TWB Co-operative Brewing is hosting a celebration of cooperation! There will be free bike tuneups, samples, games, free snacks and more!
When does it start? 11am until 5pm
Where is it happening? TWB Brewing on Mill Street
How much does it cost? $0 to get in, but some things might cost $$$
Why should you go? If there ever was a community-building event in KW, it’s this one. And aside from all of the cool shit listed above, there will also be a new cooperatively brewed beer being unveiled. That’s pretty neat, right?
Sunday, July 30
Twas Now @ Waterloo Region Museum!
What is it? We mentioned Twas Now in one of our previous weekend roundups, but they are definitely worth a second mention! They’ll be performing live at the Waterloo Region Museum after the release of their debut album, Ol’ Fashioned Way.
When does it start? 1pm
Where is it happening? The Waterloo Region Museum on Homer Watson
How much does it cost? Around $11, but that can vary***
